Happy Halloween 2016

There were so many fun adventures this Halloween.

It took us a while to find our groove in PEI,
but it sure is worth it.

We went to Trunk-or-Treat at a local church on Saturday.
Then to a Halloween birthday party on Sunday.
Then today we were at a Halloween party at the Mommy and Me gym.
Then Piper had a Halloween party at PreK.
Then we all went trick-or-treating at the local mall.
And THEN we went trick-or-treating for real.

I'm beat!
So are my kids.
But they had SO much fun!

Happy Halloween everyone!!

My mountie and bumblebee.
Elliotte came up to me at the gym and was so sad.
I asked her what was wrong.
She said, "I a bum-bee, mommy".
I said, "yes".
She said, "somebody said I a bu-er-fly".
Ahhhhh. My sad little bee!
Trick-or-treating at the mall.
Elliotte agreed to be Skye for outside trick-or-treating,
because she would wear her warm jacket underneath this costume!
The loot.
The girls had just as much fun giving out treats,
as they did receiving them!
And done!

Harvest Time

Back on October 17th,
we harvested our little garden.

Our first ever.

We are proud and amazed at
what a little love and care can grow!

This is a favorite photo.
I love how much the little one adores her big sister!
Pumpkins AND carrots.

We managed to grow about a dozen carrots
and 8 pumpkins.
(One pumpkin was already gifted to Piper's PreK class.)

Silly Face!

PS. Our carrots felt our love and apparently love each other!

Run Forrest Run

It's a pretty common routine for Mark (or Mark and I)
to take the girls and Blue down to the Confederation Trail
to let them run.

Yes.
I just said that.
We let our kids and our dog run.

And that's what they do.

We stop at a bench for a snack (Blue included)
and then run some more.

Mark describes Piper as Forrest Gump,
because once she starts running,
she just doesn't stop.
We have to yell at her to stop
once she gets too far away from us.

Elliotte is a pretty awesome runner for a 2 year old,
but thankfully she can't get too far away from us
to catch up to her big sister just yet.

We do stop to visit a little chipmunk's den sometimes.
The last time the girls left him some peanuts.

And Piper is gone....

Elliotte tries to keep up.
Blue will chase after the girls,
but likes to stay in between us,
constantly watching us and then them!

And back to the start...

My Pumpkins in our Pumpkin Patch

We planted our pumpkins without knowing what pumpkins do.

They grow a lot!

Thanksgiving 2016

So very thankful for my healthy vibrant little girls.
For my loving supportive husband.
For a close extended family.
For a network of wonderful friends.

For an endless number of things.

I'm thankful.

Thankful for a warm home to cook a turkey to share with friends.
Incredibly thankful for my wonderful PEI family!
Thankful for dessert!
(Elliotte, who is my salad loving child,
asked to eat one of the mint leaves before a piece of the dessert!)

Thankful for this furry family member.
I'm sure he's thankful for the dirt on his tongue,
because that means he's been playing fetch!!

Happy 80th Birthday Poppy Lynch

Poppy Lynch turns 80 today.

My girlies were sad that we wouldn't be in Newfoundland for the party
(aka the CAKE),
so we decided to send him some love instead.

Love it the way of
80 hugs
and 80 kisses!

It took a lot of coloring, painting, gluing,
sticking, cutting and pasting,
but the girls were very proud of themselves.
AND very excited to send them to Poppy!

We hope you have a wonderful birthday, Poppy!
Please save us some cake!

We may have enlisted a little help from Daddy
once we realizes just how long it would take
to make all those hugs and kisses!

This little helper did not complain about the task!

Piper took the job very seriously and took her time
making each hug and kiss unique!

Very proud of herself!
Even dad's from playdates jumped on board to help out.
:-)
Poppy surrounded by all of his hugs and kisses from Piper and Elliotte

And Poppy with his crossword puzzle
which was a family collaboration effort.
A little walk down memory lane of Lynch trivia
for the crossword-loving-birthday-boy.
