This Not-so-Little Piggy Went to the Market

Another self-explanatory post!

But do notice that Blue's leash is still Piper's toy of choice this week!

xo

I thought piggies were supposed to be small.
These piggies must have eaten TOO much roast beef!

Yikes. This piggy must be on steroids!

Not the Love of Reading

Yes.
I love to read.

I think that anyone that knows me,
knows just how much I love to read.

But now,
it's NOT the reading that I love.

It's the cuddle time with Piper when she wants to read a book that I love!

More. Than. Anything!

xo

"The best book I've ever read" is what I think after reading any book to Piper.
The most precious moments! xo

Who Let the Dogs Out?

I remember seeing pictures of me as a little kid in Bay L'Argent.

I was on a leash and our dog Red was running loose.
It always bothered me!

Until now!

I will totally use one of those kid leashes when the time comes.
I actually look forward to it.

And I don't think Piper will care.
She has become fascinated with Blue's leash over the past few days.
She likes to "dress up" in it.

It's scary that she likes to wrap everything around her neck,
but don't worry,
she's always being watched!

xo

Dressing herself in Blue's leash after finding it hanging on the doorknob!
I will not complain when mom puts me on a leash in Disney World!

Leashed AND fenced in.
Notice who is unleashed and free!
I'll admit, she was NOT happy here! lol

A Little to the Left

We're still anxiously awaiting the arrival of Piper's 5th tooth.

Mostly because she's been a little monster over the past few days!

The past couple of days have been dedicated to keeping her comfortable
and easing the pain as much as possible.

First we enlisted a teething soother.
I thought she would hate it,
since she hated every other soother we ever tried to give her,
but surprise,
she loves it!

You can tell she's biting on it like she's supposed to
because it's usually skewed to one side of her mouth.

At mealtime, however, the teether doesn't work.

So we resort to frozen blueberries.
They're cold and feel nice on her sore gums.
Only requirement is to eat them naked.
Messy messy blueberries,
but a happy comforted baby!

xo

A little to the right...
we can see a tooth cutting through there!
A little to the left...
We didn't know there was one coming through on this side,
but there must be!
Blueberries make everything better!!
I wonder if she'll grow up thinking people only eat blueberries while they're naked?

Daddy Needs Some Practice!

Mark gets full credit for effort!

A++

But to be completely honest,
the results often have a lot to be desired.

I really should take more photos of his "up-dos".
They can be quite hilarious!

Piper loves him that much more
for all the love and attention that  her Daddy puts into her hair!

XOXOXO!

Absolute unconditional love!
Doesn't it look so tight that her hairline is red?
lol.
LOVE!

Let's Hear it for the Boys

Who says dolls are for girls?

And for that matter,
Dolly sure gets around!

Just sayin'!

A future great daddy.

I'll bet this future dad will even change diapers!

First Sleigh Ride

Today was the first day that it was BOTH
1. warm enough to go outside and play
2. we were well enough to go outside and play

So, we went for a sleigh ride around the block.

It started off with a crying Piper,
but after a few minutes she started having fun!
(You can't really tell from the photo, but she was singing and happy!)

And for the record,
we let Piper try ice cream again tonight.
She cried again...
but this time it was when we took it away from her! :-)

xo

Why?
Why can't we live somewhere warm??
Take me back to California!
Environmentally friendly AND economical. Does it get any better?
I really am happy here!
This sliding thing isn't so bad after all!
