First PEI Pool Party

Well, it was meant to be a pool party.

Until Jack broke out in a nasty nasty rash from his head to his toes.

While Piper and I stayed home and inflated the pool,
Krista and Harold took Jack to the hospital.

Thankfully, he only has the Rosella virus,
which is incredibly common in kids,
but by the time they returned home
they were too late for us to put water in the pool in the backyard.

That didn't stop us from having fun though.

The kiddos thought that this was the best thing ever.
Especially when they would lay on the side of the pool
and Aunt Krista or Uncle Harold would push down on an opposite side,
causing the wee ones to bounce up and down.

It was a jolly good time!

Big and Little

Funny.

Piper and Jack have matching outfits
and we didn't know it.

Was worth a photo for sure!

(Please excuse Piper's messy hairdo.
She is busy busy busy,
so when it's hot we just focus on keeping it out of her face.)

xo

It's hard to believe that there is only 3.5 months difference between these two.

Catch of the Day

I think we may throw back the lobster,
but the starfish and clam are definitely cute enough to keep!!

Big Kids = Big Chairs

We were hoping to get a photo of Jack and Piper
in the big lawn chairs
without a meltdown.

We did not expect that they would LOVE these big chairs
and hence the meltdowns occurred when we took them off of the chairs.

Ha!

xo

Thinking they're BIG kids now,
since their chairs are so big!
Hey Jack?!
Are you not crying because you're so far away from me now?
The chairs are big enough for two...
would you like me to come and sit with you??
I didn't think so.

Cuddling Compliant Cousins

Okay, so Jack allowed Piper to cuddle him today.

It didn't mean he had to like it!!

Not much has changed.
Piper makes Jack cry.
And cry.
And cry.

Some of it is warranted,
such as a nudge out of the way,
a ruffle of the hair
or a snatched toy.

However,
if Jack could just realize how much bigger he is than Piper,
then none of this would be an issue.

Sweet.
Sweet.
Cousins!

xo

Jack was being compliant here and "putting up" with some Piper love,
but as you can clearly see,
he was NOT enjoying it.
Jack had enough and was trying his best to escape,
but look closely at Piper.
She is furiously holding on for dear life!

Unpacking Paper Princess

Along with moving comes unpacking.

It is incredibly fun for a 1.5 year old!!

Piper would lie in the paper and say "weeeee"
as she swam her way through the mess!

I wish I was having this much fun with this chore!

xo

Mom, why don't we do this every day???
"Swimming".
Coming up for air!
Put the camera down and play with me!!!

Fast Food Delivery

Apparently Blue is now the king of our house.

So much so, that he needs his food delivered to him on a tray!

And if he happens to be outside,
well I guess we should deliver food to his door
(on a facecloth)!!

Thank goodness we have a fence now,
so that I can separate these two.
I have to be forever watching them!!

xo
Delivering one piece of kibble at a time on her tea tray.
Making sure he eats every last crumb!
Oh my Blue.
It must be rough staying outside.
You must be hungry!
Dinner is served!
A canine picnic maybe?
