So we were at the RCMP Kids' Christmas party last week!

While there, Piper found a soft blanket (we don't know where) 

and proceeded to make a nest for herself. 

Then, to the amusement of many people, she laid down and snuggled in. 

This kid has a mind of her own!

It used to be annoying to have Blue sitting and staring at us while we ate.

Times that by two!

Piper is NOT a good eater, 

but she will beg for food when she's not meant to eat it!

Besides, what Blue wants is always interesting!

We had a lovely day celebrating Piper's very first Christmas!

She is SUCH a girlie girl!

She spent more time picking up her new clothes and hugging it 

than playing with her new toys!

Who would have thought?!

That's not to say that she didn't enjoy her toys too, but "loving" her clothes was pretty cute!

Christmas Eve - Blueberry Shortcake!

Okay, so since it's Christmas Eve, 

I figured I could treat you to a variety of photos!

We start off with Piper helping her daddy put the snowman on top of the Christmas tree.

He has bells for hands, which frightened her and ended up keeping her away from the tree! 

Awesome!

Second we have Piper eating her Christmas Eve snack. 

Frozen Blueberries!

They were cold, which soothed her sore gums, so she loved them.

Needless to say, she went straight from the high chair to the bathtub!

Third, we have me trying to take a photo of Piper in her Christmas pjs in front of the tree.

She was not having any part of it. 

Like I mentioned earlier, she was afraid of the tree.

Notice her very first FRENCH BRAID! 

How exciting! :-)

And last, you have the Christmas drop from Santa. 

Well, a few were from Santa, but Nana and Poppy really showed him up!

A visit with "HoHo"!

I haven't caught up with all of the photos that I've taken since arriving back in Yellowknife, 

but given the time of year, I figure I should be posting some Christmas photos already!

Today was the RCMP Kids Christmas party.

Santa, or "HoHo" as Piper prefers to call him, made a special visit to the party.

Piper liked watching him from a distance, but wasn't as happy once she was on his lap.

She didn't cry, but definitely wanted to be back in my arms. 

I think it was because she was really tired and wanted to take a nap. 

She had her photo taken with Santa in Newfoundland and didn't mind him,

so I'm pretty sure she was just tired here. 

Who knows!

My first visit to Nova Scotia!

After a snow-delay (our second of the year)

we happily arrived in Nova Scotia for our short, but awesome visit with

Aunt Krista, Uncle Harold and Jack!

Lots of fun was had by all

and we even got a bonus cuddle with Eleanor, Sandra and Angie!

It was Piper's Uncle Mike's birthday while we were home.
