Happy Easter!

 Happy Easter to everyone!!

Piper had a wonderful time hunting for her Easter eggs.

As soon as she saw the trail

she started saying 

"Wow, wow, wow!"

I mentioned yesterday about the one Timbit that sent Piper on some sort of sugar-high.

Well, I'm not over that yet, 

so Piper didn't actually get to eat any chocolate today.

Don't be disappointed in me. 

I'm not really that mean of a mom.

I had filled all of the plastic eggs with Piper's favourite treats.

Cheerios, corn bran and goldfish.

She had a grand time opening up the eggs,

discovering her treats

and then devouring them.

She thought it was the best!

It was another lovely day!

I love my little family!

Easter Party Playtime!

Today Piper and I went to an Easter party with some friends.

They rented out a gymnasium and everyone brought toys for the kids to just run and play.

We brought along Dolly in her stroller to play with.

She was immediately stolen by a little girl

who's mother took her away screaming after tearing Dolly out of her arms.

Then, she was stolen by another little girl,

who's mother asked me if she could hide it outside 

where her daughter couldn't see it so that they could get ready to leave.

Haha. 

I guess Dolly is pretty darn awesome!!

It ended up being an awful lot of fun.

HOWEVER...

someone gave Piper a Timbit.

She didn't sit still for 7 hours after she ate it.

Never. Again.

Ever.

That was her first and last Timbit EVER!

Puppy Love

His name is Doggie.

This is as close as she will ever get to having a second dog!

Daddy can be beyond silly.

He's now teaching Piper to be just as silly.

After he put her tights on her head,

she turned around and put them on his head!

There's a STRANGE Man Outside

Spring is here!

Temperatures are warming up!

It was a balmy -5 degrees outside on Tuesday.

That means BBQ weather!

Woo hoo!

That also means that Daddy gets silly outside the window.

Let's Play Ball

Piper just loves a trip to the grocery store.

Why wouldn't you

when the produce aisle is filled with 'balls'.

She came home with a brand new one today!

As we walked past the grapefruit display,
Piper excitedly exclaimed "BALL".
She's quite please that it came home with us.

Of course, we couldn't play without including her best bud!

She's a Climber

Piper's newest favourite thing to do 

is climb up onto the couch...

and then try to walk the length of it.

This wouldn't be such a big deal

if she could actually walk well.

But since she can't, 

it's always a little unnerving. 

I've included a couple of photos from a few days ago

when she was discovering that she could actually get onto the couch

without any help.

Then I included a couple more from yesterday.

In these, she's giving me a minor heart attack,

but not so much so that I didn't grab the camera first. 

Oh and FYI, 

she doesn't normally go around in just a onesie and tights.

This was after an outdoor outing,

so I just took off her jeans and left her running around in tights.

Piper's cough is dwindling off

and she feeling much better,

so we decided to take advantage of the warm weather today.

We went for a walk in her stroller

and stopped at the park for a swing along the way.

Sock Frustration

Just like her mama, 

Piper doesn't like to wear socks.

She pulls them off soon after we put them on her.

14 months going on 14 years!

Sigh.

Yesterday she wouldn't eat her bagel if I broke it up into bits.

It HAD to be whole so she could take bites.

Today was the same thing with her french toast.

Dare not cut it into bite-size bits for a baby!

No, No!

Well, not unless you also give her a fork 

so she can jab it and feed herself! 

Growing. So. Fast!

Hey Mark? Where's Piper?

Seeing Double!

Piper's all time favourite toy is her VIOLET!

Since I have three pregnant friends at the moment,

I figured I should pick up a couple of them to give as presents

when the babies arrive.

It was so funny to listen to Piper exclaiming,

"hi, hi, hi" to the 'puppies'

as we pushed them around the store in the cart.

Now that they are in our house

and are settled into our spare room,

Piper likes to visit them every day 

with just as much excitement as the first day!

She sets the music going on both 

and then they have a dance party!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Paddy's Day everyone.

Piper is still on the mend, 

but is doing much much better.

Now her mom seems to be suffering the brunt of this.

This winter has been relentless. 

I'm ready for it to be over!

We weren't well enough to party like the Irish today,

but thankfully,

we had a pre-Paddy's day party about 10 days ago.

Thanks to Duggan and his mom for a great playdate!
