Princess Prizes

Our house is filled with princesses.

Small chubby ones,
tall lean ones
and Disney ones.
( Ahem.
Some may argue that there is a tall police officer one here too,
when there is a spider around! Ha!)

We did not push girly things on our girls,
but they gravitated towards it anyway.

Pink.
Purple.
Princess.

That just about sums up our house.

Mark is adjusting!
;-)

Piper showing off her new Princess book that she received as a prize
for filling out her potty chart (in the background).
We are now at 6 days in a row with pee in the potty.
Fingers crossed that diapers will soon be a thing of the past for this one!
Daddy zerberting Elliotte's belly is a big hit for this one!
Daddy's prize is simply the love his littlest princess shows him everyday!

Update:
Elliotte's sleeping has gotten worse, which means that not only are we all cranky and tired here, but we're also worried about her. We took her to the doctor yesterday and were sent for allergy testing this morning. The test itself didn't go over very well with our littlest lady. It took a prick to the heel and finger and six vials of blood to get what they needed for the test. Poor Elliotte cried and cried and cried. It was heartbreaking, but necessary. Hopefully that will be the last of the testing and we will have good results soon. Piper, who was in the waiting room while E was getting her test, could hear the crying. When we came out of the lab, Piper did everything that she could think of to cheer up her little sister. The very crowded waiting room was filled with melting hearts as they watched. I was one very proud momma! xoxoxo

Aunt and Uncle Fun

When we go anywhere for a visit,
we're often too busy with all of the chaos of kids
to take a quiet moment for anything.

I'm so thankful that this past visit to Nova Scotia
allowed for a few of those priceless quiet moments
for my girls to share with their aunt and uncle.

As for me having some quiet Jack cuddles.
I'm still waiting.
He's usually the one that's too busy for me!
Trains and tractors keep one very busy you know!!
;-)

Scrubbing Nana

Nana Pope was in her glee.

I wonder why?

xo

What's that under the blanket in Jack's bed?
The Three Stooges!
(I honestly don't know who is having the most fun here.)
Both Piper and Jack decided that Nana needed a scrub!
I'm sure a hot bath would have been much more relaxing for her.
Meanwhile... Elliotte was going for her first dump truck ride
with Shirley!

Jack's Birthday Party

Yes.
I'm still WAY behind.

Trying to catch up,
but Elliotte is still not sleeping
and I am a zombie.

We returned to Nova Scotia on October 22nd
to celebrate Jack's belated 3rd birthday party with him.

Boy oh boy.
I'm not sure about Jack,
but Piper sure was spoiled!!!!

She got to play at the gymnastics club,
eat pizza and cake
AND spend time with Jack, Nathan and Nana.

I'm not sure how to top that for her own 3rd birthday!

Elliotte had fun too.
She was stolen away from me by my cousin Bob,
who has a soft spot for wee ones.
Both enjoyed each other's company very much!!!

Happy Birthday Jack!!

The birthday boy on the balancing beam!
Trying to keep Piper on the white line as directed by the leaders.
Not such an easy thing to do!
Piper, Jack and Nathan swallowed up by giant foam pieces
after jumping off of a high beam.
Elliotte's turn of on some of the equipment.
Elliotte having some fun on a giant mat with Bob!
Piper and Elliotte with cousins Bob and his daughter Zoe.
Balloon time!
The kids all had heaps of fun!

I'm just realizing now that I didn't get a single shot of the birthday boy with his cake. I did get a video of him with it as he blew out his candles, but it's cloudy and hard to see. Why, you ask? Because I had my video camera hanging around my neck. I reached over the cake to get my coffee and failed to notice that my camera dipped into the cake. It was my sister that pointed out that I had chocolate icing all over my belly and camera... hence also on the lens of my camera. Sigh. I guess we all know where Piper gets her clumsiness from!!!!!!!

Leaf Leaper

You can't enjoy Autumn
if you don't take time to jump in the leaves!!

And if you're taking the time to rake them up,
you may as well stuff them into leaf bags
that double as Halloween decorations.
(Obviously I am still a couple of weeks behind in my blog posts!)

Fun!!

My girlies enjoying our backyard fun!
Piper had more fun running through the piles of leaves,
rather than jumping in them,
but it was fun all the same.
Helping Daddy stuff the pumpkin bag!

Because we are a Red Serge Proud family.

Lest we forget.

Showing how proud we are of daddy and all of his coworkers.
Trying to tickle for a smile here didn't quite work out the way I planned.

Messy Meals

I think I'm going to take out stocks
on laundry soap and diapers.

It seems as if all I ever do is change diapers
and wash clothes.

I went for a walk a while ago and got caught in the rain.

Mark was distraught and said that he would have driven to pick me up
except for the fact that Elliotte was napping.

All I could do was laugh.

I was not one bit worried about being caught in the rain.

It was the first time in ages that my clothing
wasn't covered in Piper's food,
Elliotte's food,
pee,
poop,
spit up
or drool.

I was perfectly okay with the rain!!!

She should wear googles.
Piper's pizza face!
