Bedtime Snack Cuddles

Piper likes to sit up between Nanny and Poppy Lynch
to watch her bedtime tv show and eat her bedtime snack.

As soon as Elliotte sees Piper sitting between them,
you'd better watch out and MOVE OVER!

She practically launched herself out of my arms to join them last night.

Royal Canadian MELTED Police

Sorry for the lack of posts lately.

It's been a combination of headaches,
being extra busy this time of year
and
Nanny and Poppy Lynch have arrived.

The girls are thrilled.

Piper has keep them more than busy
and Elliotte has kept them more than entertained!

There will be fabulous photos to share!!

For now, however, I want to share a photo
taken a couple of days ago.

Piper, Elliotte, Sylvie and Caitlin
played outside in the snow together.

Piper wanted a snowman.

I had envisioned her and I making it together.
That didn't happen.

Ben ended up playing with all the girls,
while I built the snowman all by myself.
They couldn't wait to help once it was time
to add the eyes, nose, buttons, scarf and hat.
You know... the easy part!!

There I am.
No kids around.
Just a sad lady building a snowman.
Ahhh, there to claim all the glory and look extra cute!
Poor Officer Snow.
He only lasted a day or two
before becoming a member of the
Royal Canadian MELTED Police.

Letters to Santa

The girls have written and sent their letters to Santa.

I told Piper that she could have 3 Christmas wishes.
One for a toy.
One for a treat in her stocking.
One bonus wish.

I wrote down exactly what she asked, word for word.
I love her!

Then I asked her to help me with Elliotte's letter.
We did the same thing again.

This time she chose chocolate for the stocking treat,
instead of chips.
But then added that this way
Elliotte could share her chocolate with her
and she could share her chips with Elliotte.

Smart cookie!

Snowball Fight Spectacle

Piper had a "Daddy Daughter Day" with her daddy a couple of days ago,
while Elliotte and Mommy took a nap.

When we woke up,
this is what we discovered.

Blue and Elliotte stood in the window whining,
while Piper and Daddy pelted each other with snowballs.

We could hear the squeals of delight from inside our house!

One big kid and one little kid!
The audience.
Daddy gearing up to get Piper with a snowball.
Piper is getting serious about this.
She means business.
And she scores!!!

Very First Ballet Show

Today was Piper's very first ballet show.

It was just a mini show in her ballet classroom
where the parents get to watch.

It was adorable
and Piper did GREAT!!

She was seriously fabulous.

Since we knew that Elliotte would NEED to join the dancers
if we took her to the recital,
we decided to leave her with a friend instead.

It was the first time I've ever done that,
and I'll admit I was nervous,
but Elliotte was a rock star today too.

She cried when I left,
but then had a great time playing with her friend Zachary.
They're great little buds
and there is only about 10 hours difference in their age!

AND THEN...
Elliotte POOPED IN THE POTTY!!!!
What is happening?
She's not my baby anymore.

Not only did she do that,
but after eating a king size portion of her supper tonight
including an entire ear of corn,
she handed me her plate and said,
"All done, Mommy".

My girls are the best!!
Just saying.

I'm one proud momma today!

(Sorry for the million photos. I can't help myself!)

Piper checking to make sure we're watching her.
Still checking.
YES, PIPER. We're STILL watching!
You can see on her face just how much fun she is having.
Lining up to fly...
Flying!
Can you spot Piper?
Yes.
She's the blue upside down monkey!
If Elliotte was there, she'd totally be over there trying that!
Hiding behind 'bushes'.
Piper is on the very end.
She can make herself very tiny when she wants to!
She's supposed to be still hiding.
Our little ballerina.
Piper's solo jump.
Stretching?
Taking the lead.
Just chilling' by the dance bar.
Such monkeys.
Jumping over the 'river' for her finale.
Here are Elliotte and Zach looking especially excited to play together. Ha!
So close in age they could be twins.
I love these two together!

Window Watchers

Today was a hard hard day.

Piper had a meltdown like no other
and my head still hurts.

But goodness gracious,
I still love these two hooligans
more than anything.

How is that even possible?

If I had a friend that gave me as much trouble as Piper,
I'd block their calls as of yesterday.

But no.
I wouldn't trade her for anything in this world.
Her or her copycat little sister!

Who are they watching for????
Santa maybe?
Nope.
DADDY in his police car.
He begrudgingly turns on his lights for the girls after they beg!

Cutest Colouring Contest

The girls have entered the
Home Hardware Coloring Contest this year.

Piper won a prize for her colouring two years ago.

Let's see what happens this time around for both little colourers!

The eldest artist working on her masterpiece.
Rainbow pants!!
This was Piper's second try.
The first time she coloured Handy peeing.
I told her it wasn't nice and gave her a new sheet.
PIPER!!!
The littlest artist.
She's under the watchful eye of Blue.
Usually when she's sitting in that seat,
there is a lovely shower of food for him.
Very proud of her work.
And another masterpiece.
