Disappearing Zoe Hugs

Well it's when you hug Zoe and you disappear!

It's funny.

but lost her mind trying to get away from Bert

when he came close to us tonight.

Waterslide Fanatic

We started off this vacation treating Piper like a baby.

We thought she would have fun going down the end of the "baby" waterslide.

Once again she surprised us by being more grown up than we thought.

She wanted to get on the BIG girl water slide. 

So she did.

With Daddy.

Immediately after her first ride,

in which she was totally dunked to the bottom of the pool I might add,

she popped up saying

"more, more, more"!

Jeez she's all grown up!

Birthday Celebrations from Afar

Happy 60th birthday to my father, Poppy Pope.

Since we cannot be there to celebrate with you

and we're going to miss your party,

we figured we may as well have our own party for you here in Jamaica.

There was a Seaseme Street parade today. 

Before it started,

Someone made a surprise appearance on stage.

We think Piper may have peed in her pants a little,

she got so excited!

She ran towards him with arms in the air

saying "up, up, up"!

It was true love....

until a certain someone else came along.

Loving life!

How do you entertain yourself on a two hour drive from the airport?
Kick your luggage tag!

Fresh Jamacian fruit is delicious. 

Edmonton Airport is F.U.N.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it before or not,

but we've learned that the easiest way to entertain our child while in airports

is to take her for rides on the pedways.

Endless fun leaves us a sleeping beauty on flights!

Sickness Strikes Again

Piper and her daddy are both sick.

AGAIN!

No fun.

Especially when we're trying to get ready to go to Jamaica! 

Thankfully our suitcases still weren't unpacked from our house hunting trip,

so there wasn't a whole lot of "packing" to do. 

We're off to Toronto in the morning 

and onward to Jamaica on Tuesday.

That is where there is a poolside lounge chair and a drink 

waiting for this exhausted momma! 

Hopefully I will have wi-fi at the hotel 

so that I can continue blogging.

The sickies cuddled and napped on the couch
while mommy packed and cleaned. 

Cole's CopyCat

With Yellowknife temperatures soaring to 19 degrees today,

we went to Cole's house for a BBQ. 

The company, food and wine were fabulous,

but it did take Piper a little while to join the festivities. 

After we arrived, 

she stood by the door for a good FIVE minutes

before she decided it was okay to come in. 

That was funny.

Once she was in, 

she had a great time copying everything that Cole did. 

If Cole went outside...

Piper went outside.

If Cole went down the stairs...

Piper went down the stairs.

If Cole ran around on the grass...

well...

Piper did stand on it and then walk a little before calling out "UP"!!

Then Cole pushed Piper around on his little ride on toy.

Piper then, of course, had to repay the favor. 

It was so sweet.

They played so well together!

A great night with great friends!

We will miss this when we move.
