First and foremost,
Happy Mother's Day
to my and Mark's moms and grandmothers
and to all the other wonderful mothers reading this post!!
Secondly,
Happy Mother's Day to me!!!
Piper hasn't been sleeping well since we arrived on the east coast.
She did not enjoy the creaky old metal crib in the hotel room
(even though she did enjoy dancing on the crinkling mattress)
and therefore ended up in bed with me.
This is NOT a practice she gets away with at home!
However, she got used to it in PEI,
so since arriving in Nova Scotia,
she has been waking up around 1:30 am every night
wanting to get in bed with me.
I'm tired!
Thankfully, last night Little Miss decided to let her Momma sleep until 5:30
before waking up and demanding some milk.
After a quick refreshment she was snoozing again
and was still sleeping when I got up this morning!
What a treat.
I actually had to wake her up to go swimming with Jack!
Thank you for such a wonderful Mother's Day gift Piper Cee!
Mommy loves you!

Still snoozing at 8:00 am! |
She may weigh 100 pounds less than me, but she takes up more room in a bed. I woke up to two little feet digging into my collar bones. |
A photo of her bouncing in the creaky old crib in the hotel room. She loved the sound of the crinkly old mattress under her feet! |
