Window Stickers

Little by little
(and I mean VERY little)
we are getting our house decorated for Christmas.

Piper tends to undo the few things that I manage to get done,
but sometimes she is a wonderful help.

Putting window stickers on the back door
was the perfect job for her!

She couldn't have been happier!

What do you think the chances are that I'll be able
to get her to put the lights on the tree?

xo

I tried to get her to look at me and say 'cheese'
but she was just having too much fun.
She would say 'cheese'
but wouldn't even look at me when she said it!

Bringing in the Garbage

Piper thinks she's as big as everyone else,
and hence wants to do EVERYTHING that everyone else does.

So, when Daddy was bringing in our black bin from the curb,
Little Miss HAD to take over!

She's such a hard little worker!

xo

PS.
Today I caught Piper licking the glitter off of a cupcake Christmas ornament. You'd think after the first lick she would have realized that it didn't taste very good, but nope. She kept hoping for the best and devouring more glitter. Mark's reaction: I guess she'll have glittery poop then! Sigh!!!

Are you there Santa?

I guess writing a letter to Santa
and receiving a response
wasn't good enough for Piper.

Yesterday she walked over to her Daddy's nightstand,
picked up his iPod,
put it to her ear
and said "Hi Santa"!

Technology has really changed things!
LOL!

xo

I'm not sure where she got his number, but she did!
"Hi Santa!"
Sort of like video calling if you look at Jack's photo with Santa
while you're calling!!!

Baby Mickey?

No post last night due to Mommy and Daddy
going out together for the first time in 4 months!!

Mark's work Christmas party was last night,
so we left Piper with babysitters
and had a night out.

It was lovely.

For everyone!

Piper happily waved goodbye to us as we walked out the door
and had a fantastic time with Barb and Wes!

She's only met them twice before,
but by the time we were leaving the house,
Piper had Wes on the living room floor,
covered up in her little polar bear blanket
and was kissing him awake.

She just loves them!

When we got home,
little miss was cuddled up in a chair with Barb
watching Christmas cartoons.

She barely even acknowledged that we were home.

It is SO nice and comforting to know that Piper felt comfortable with them
and that if we ever need someone to watch her
we have someone trustworthy!

As for the party...
I stood by the food table and socialized with the cheese tray!
Ha!
Once we had become well acquainted,
I moved on to the fruit tray!
That was only after a quick meet and greet
with the sweet and sour meatballs
followed by the hummus and pita tray.

I'm not sure if there was anyone else at the party,
but if there was,
they probably went hungry!
:-D

We are now 29 weeks along
and the Littlest Lynch isn't so little anymore!
Average size of a 29 week baby is
more than 15.2 inches long
and more than 2.5 pounds!
Little porker!

Mama isn't quite so little anymore either!
With 2.5 months left to go (please God)
I'm already up 54 pounds.
Maybe 64 after last night!

xo

Looks like I'm hiding the Christmas turkey under there!
Piper touching my belly and saying "baby Mickey"!
We just missed capturing Piper kissing the baby here.
She's going to make such a great big sister!

Santa Wrote Me Back!!

I had planned for tonight's post
to be Piper's photo with Santa Claus.

I had looked up the schedule for when he would be at our little mall
and after supper we got all bundled up
and hit the road.

Piper was excited and when I would ask her if she was going to see Santa,
she would ask if she was going to sit on his knee
and if he would give her presents.

We were both excited.

And then...

We got to the mall.

And sure enough,
there was Santa.

But only Santa.

No photographer.

No camera.

Hence,
no photo.

Apparently,
you're supposed to bring your own camera
and take your own photo?!?!

I'm still confused.

Maybe we will end up taking an unexpected trip to Charlottetown
to have real photos taken this week.

I've never heard of such a thing.

Where are we???

So,
since I had to kibosh that blog post,
it will be replaced with a photo of Piper with the letter
she received in the mail from Santa.

She was pretty excited about it,
but I had a rough time getting a decent photo of her with it.
She was distracted and I was exhausted,
so it is what it is tonight!

xo

Attempt #1
Attempt #2
Attempt #3
FINALLY!!!!
She really was excited...
just got distracted fast.
Sigh!

One Daddy Open Sleigh

Daddy took Piper sliding on our front lawn today.

She had a ridiculously fun time.

When her daddy would take her out of the sled,
she would sit back in and say "push Daddy"!

After her cheeks got a little too rosy,
he took her and her sled back to the garage.

Piper had other plans
and took her sled back outside.

Too.
Much.
Fun!

xo

Wheeeeeeee.....
Sorry Daddy.
It's not time to go back inside yet.

PIE-per Cee

This week has been quite the "PIE" week.

I think there has only been one day this week
when we didn't eat some sort of pie.

We made Cowgirl Quiche for the first time,
which Piper called Chicken Pie,
and it was a huge hit with the entire family!

Then we had leftover stew,
which we made into a Shepherd's Pie.
Another huge hit,
especially with Piper!

Then tonight I made a Butterscotch Pie,
because I NEEDED one.

So did Piper!

xo

Mommy, Piper and the Littlest Lynch licking the beater
after making Dream Whip for the top of the pie!
This makes all three of us VERY happy!
How do we know for sure that Piper liked the pie?
She actually giggled for about 10 seconds after she took her first bite.
It was the funniest thing!
