Away in a Manger

Growing up I loved Fisher Price Little People.

They were my favorite toy to play with when I was little

and I can still remember most of the names that I gave to them

and their 'stories'. 

It's not surprising then,

that years ago when I first saw that they made a Little People Nativity Set,

I knew that I really wanted to have one. 

I dreamed of the day when my own children

would be able to play with it in the days leading up to Christmas. 

Last year my parents gave me the very nativity set that I wanted,

but because it was a Christmas present

it wasn't taken out of the box by the time decorations were being put away.

But today the decorations came back out.

And today my dream came true!

Piper was mesmerized by the little angel on top of the manger

and by the baby jesus in his cot.

It was really difficult to get her away from the little set

to eat her supper.

She loves it!

Elliotte just wanted to eat all of the pieces,

but that's no surprise.

(She's hardcore teething right now!)

I'm so in love!

That moment was everything I dreamed it would be and more.
