The Braid-y Bunch

Elliotte may not have the thick long locks
that her sister had at the same age,
but she is definitely still gifted in that area.

Nine months old and she sported her very first french braid tonight.

I was going to try to get a photo
of both girls with braids in their hair tonight,
but Elliotte's didn't last long enough.

It only took her about 10 minutes to realize
that there was something "foreign" on her head,
so she insisted on pulling out the elastic...
and of course,
putting it in her mouth.

You can't eat everything baby girl!!!

Woah. Stop everything!
I stayed still long enough for my mother to braid my hair!
(Elmo on the TV was the trick!)
Teeny tiny, but it's still a braid!
This photo was taken just after she pulled the elastic out of her hair
and just before she put it into her mouth.
It is Throwback Thursday after all.
Here is Piper's first french braid when she was 11 months old.
And well, we can't blog about braids without this honorable mention.
Piper's Jamaican braids during our Jamaica trip when she was 1.5 years old.
Sorry Elliotte.
I'd bet you'll be closer to 15 years old
before we can take you there to get braids of your own. Ha!
