Ball Pit Sleepers

We had a short stop-over visit with Piper and Elliotte's
Uncle Bill and Aunt Debra today.

The girls were thrilled when they received
an inflatable ball pit.
Piper couldn't wait to get home to try it out.

I envisioned lots of fun throwing the balls in and out of the pit.

I did NOT envision the pit becoming the next bed
for Piper's 'camp over'.
(She is forever playing a mixed play of sleep over and camping.
She calls it a Camp Over.)

Elliotte was happy to go along with Piper's vision.
She usually is.

Speaking of Piper's camp over,
I spoke with one of her preschool teachers today.
She told me that Piper has the wildest and most vast imagination
of any child that she has ever met.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I know it's great that she can think outside of the box,
but some of the things she comes up with are alarming!

Two conversations I've had with Piper:

1.
Piper: Hey Mom, I'll just wait in the car while you go into Walmart to shop.
Me: Umm, no Piper. That wouldn't be safe. You have to come into the store with me.
Piper: But remember that one time that you left me in the car and I was fine.
Me: No. No I do not remember that one time because it never happened.
Piper: Sure it did, you just don't remember.

2.
Piper: Mommy, can you please pass me the real scissors, so that I can cut my hair.
Me: No. That would be very dangerous, Piper. We never play with real scissors and we NEVER EVER cut our hair. OR our sisters!
Piper: But remember how you give Elliotte real scissors all the time to cut our hair.
Me: No. No I don't remember that. That did not happen, Piper. I would never give Elliotte real scissors, so please do not tell that to people!

I'm nervous.
No.
I'm VERY nervous about what Piper tells the teachers at preschool.
I probably make her cook our supper as well,
over open flames!
Sigh.

Piper.
Piper.
PIPER!

This would be a really spectacular gift if these two would climb in there
and sleep ALL night.
But since they won't this cuteness will have to do.
