Five Kilometers

Our summer of visitors has been BUSY!

Fun, but busy.

I will try my very best to start catching up on posts
beginning today!

Here are a few photos from June 21st.

I ran my first 5k race of the summer.

Not only were my lovely husband and beautiful girls
there to cheer me on,
but they were also joined by my wonderful friend, Riham.

I met Riham when we moved into an apartment together in Melbourne, Australia in 2005.
We bonded over the fact that we were both a little obsessive
about keeping our apartment clean.

Riham is Egyptian, but was born and raised in Germany.

In 2009, Mark and I went to visit her in Cologne, Germany during our European trip,
just after we got engaged.

And now we met again in 2015 on our third continent together
when she came to visit us here in PEI.

There will be more photos to share,
but here is one after everyone met me after I crossed the finish line!

Last year our running team had around 12 people or more.
This year people kept falling behind and dropping out.
Here is Team Miscouche.
Three sad little runners.
One happy momma after crossing the finish line to see this wonderful crew.
I beat my time from last year by almost five minutes!!!!
The girls thought it was more fun to play with the rope fence
than to watch for Mommy.
