First BIG Snowfall of the Season

Yesterday and last night turned into quite a snowstorm.

Poor Blue was trembling in fear all night,
so I ended up sleeping on the floor with him
to try to keep him calm.

Then morning came.
Piper looked out the window and saw all the snow.
This time is was her that was trembling,
in excitement to get outside to play in the snow.

Elliotte had no idea what all the fuss was about,
but she figured it out once we were outside.
(Which took 45 minutes, by the way.)

Holy smokes.

It takes forever to get two littles ready and out the door.

It was all worth it though!

While the littlest girlies were going for a sleigh ride...
... the big girlies ditched us for more exciting fun.
Rosie cheeks!
They are growing up too fast!
A little snow won't get in the way of swinging.
I think Claire was hoping that the girls would dig out her car,
but no such luck.
The winds must have been quite high with the storm.
One of the lovely trees in our backyard completely cracked off at it's midsection.
On the left of this photo,
you can see clearly where the tree cracked off.
It was quite a tall one!
