Growing is Exhausting!

Today was what you would call a SLEEPY day!

First, Piper slept in, which is always a treat for us all! 

Then we decided to walk to the park so that Daddy could also see how much she enjoyed the swings. We arrived at the park only to discover a sleeping baby in her stroller. Ha. No swings today.

THEN, after having a complete meltdown at suppertime, Miss P passed out on the living room floor. 

Oh well. Maybe tomorrow we can eat carrots and go swinging. Or not.  :-)

Sleeping beauty!

This was yesterday.
There were people in our house updating the electrical panel,
so sleeping on Daddy was a special treat!

Growing UP-date: 
Piper surprised us last night by sitting up all by herself!! At 5 o'clock this morning, she woke up for a feeding. After nursing her, I kissed her goodnight and then placed her back in her crib - on her back! I went back to bed and turned on the video monitor so that I could keep an eye on her. Normally she will play with her blankie, maybe turn on her little Fisher Price aquarium and/or practice her crawling formation for about 30 minutes before collapsing and falling back to sleep. This is what I assumed she was doing as I was drifting in and out of sleep listening to her "singing" to herself. At one point I woke up and looked that the screen on the monitor to see what she was doing. Boy, was I ever surprised to see her sitting up playing with her blankie. I thought I was either hallucinating or dreaming, so I woke Mark up to get him to look at it. Ha! Sneaky baby doing fancy tricks in the middle of the night when we can't see them (or so she thinks)! Cheeky little thing!
