With sick little ones in our house,
Mark and I have become super fluid pushers.
Even with Elliotte feeling under the weather,
she still has a hearty appetite,
so she's not a problem.
Her big sister,
however,
is feeling much worse,
so it hasn't been as easy.
I felt like I was lying to poor Piper all day yesterday.
I kept telling her that if she took her medicine
or drank something,
she would feel much better.
Within minutes of drinking either,
she would throw them up.
"I thought you said this would make me feel better, mom."
Yeah.
I guess vomiting doesn't feel better.
By mid afternoon,
Piper wanted nothing to do with any fluid except for
PRUNE JUICE!
Honestly.
She asked me for it,
so I happily watered some down
before I gave it to her,
to maximize the amount she was drinking.
She kept asking for more.
Ummmm...
I didn't know what to do.
As much as I wanted to get more and more fluids into her,
I didn't want to create a bowel explosion
for the poor little thing!!
Thankfully I found some Winnie the Pooh
Apple juice boxes
that impressed her for a couple of hours.
By then she was back to water!
Thank goodness!

This photo was taken the day before yesterday, when some things were staying down for a few minutes. |
Someone else was enjoying the sick girl popsicles as well. |
Yeah. I'm pretty sure she was enjoying it! |
Tapping her little fingers together to tell me that she wants "more". |
