Welcoming Committee

A couple of days ago,
Mark was outside snowblowing the driveway
to the amusement of our little girls.

When he was finished,
I could hear Piper and Elliotte calling out "Daddy".
I figured they were still watching him from the window.

I glanced into our living room to check on them
and they weren't there.
I could still clearly hear them calling, "Daddy".

I walk further out into my living room to see where they were,
and found them sitting in the laundry basket
in my laundry room waiting for their daddy.
(The door to the garage leads into the laundry room,
hense the reason they were there.)

It was a nice thought on their part,
but they were in the perfect location to get smashed with the door
if Mark came inside in a hurry.

I pushed them into a safer position
and then left them there to wait it out.

I should have called Mark on his cell
and asked him to hang out in the garage while I had a long relaxing bath.
Haha.
I'd bet the girls would have stayed there all day!
