First Letter to Santa

Tis' that time of year again.

Last year Piper was much too small

and Mommy was much too sleep deprived

to write a letter to Santa.

Thankfully,

he didn't forget her and spoiled her with presents anyway!

This year we are more prepared.

Don't ask me how, but we are!

Piper is excited to send off her letter tomorrow!

Dear Santa...

She's making her list...
she's checking it twice...

Mark says we cheated by using a half written letter,
but I think that until Piper can write on her own
this is no worse than if I wrote it for her!

Naughty or Nice?

I'm not so sure that Piper is going to get chocolate instead of coal in her stocking this year. If Santa was watching today, I'm sure he'd be wondering as well. 

While I was cleaning up some clutter around our desk, I came across a sample package that I had received from the UC Baby ultrasound a few weeks back. Inside were some tiny little newborn diapers that I immediately knew Piper would LOVE to put on her dolly! Sure enough, when I presented them to her, she immediately ran into her bedroom, where I assumed she was changing Dolly's bum. After a few moments there was silence. Silence is dangerous! I went to check on her and found her lying flat on her back on her CHANGE TABLE! I stood there frozen, trying my best not to react, but in total shock that she climbed all the way up there and was now pretending to change her own bum with the new tiny diapers. YIKES!!! What a monkey. She will climb absolutely anything. It's nerve wrecking.
