but there was one little hiccup.
Piper loves going down the little slide
into the deep water.
She refuses any help,
so goes under water each time she goes down the slide.
A few times she swallowed some water
and came up spitting and sputtering.
This, however, did not slow her down...
until it did.
At one point, Piper was standing at the top of the slide
when she started to feel sick.
She told me that she felt like she was going to throw up,
so I told her to climb back down the ladder of the slide.
I was watching her contemplate doing this
when she started vomiting.
Down the slide.
Since I was at the bottom of the slide,
all I could think of to do,
was stop the vomit from going into the pool.
So I caught it in my hand.
Well, I used my hand as a barrier at first,
until the lifeguard could come over
and pull the slide away from the edge of the pool.
I didn't think twice about using my hand,
so only realized after the fact,
just how gross it was for the young lifeguard.
He gave me a very sympathetic look
and thanked me for catching i
the vomit in my hand.
He even offered to get me cleaned up before cleaning the slide.
Haha.
I'm sure I would have reacted the same way before kids.
Needless to say, I cleaned myself up and let him tend to the slide.
Piper was fine all along.
Once she was able to throw up the pool water,
she was gearing to jump right back into the pool.
I made her stay playing near the shallow end this time
to limit her water intake and vomit out-take!

Nanny trying to hold onto Piper and slow her down for a quick photo in the pool.
Not an easy task with this kid!
This one is a little easier, but only a little.
She loves the water as much as her big sister and I think she's going to be just as fearless!
Ahhh... The calm before the storm.
Elliotte was trying to squirm out if my arms to get to the slide herself.
While Piper was swimming from the slide to the ladder,
I would place Elliotte halfway up the slide and let her slide down into the water.
She love love loved it!!!
